The book contains materials, prepared according to the results of the project: “System of Higher Education in Social Development of Central Asia” carried out by the RC “Internal Asia” with the support of Ford Fund (grant # 1040-1432) in 2003-2006. The authors examine various aspects of the higher education system influence on the social transformations, which occur in the modern Central Asia.
