The famous mountain Sulaiman-Too in the city of Osh, owing to its particular qualities, was an active witness of interaction and changing of religions, cultures and traditions of various epochs and peoples. First this mountain was a temple under the sky - a unique architectural construction without a roof that during several centuries served as a place of worships for settled agricultural and cattle-breeding tribes of East Fergana, and later - a sacred mountain of the ancient Turks and Kyrgyzs. On adopting Islam, ancient cults transformed into the cult of the Muslim saints and the mountain became an object of worship for Muslims. In this monograph the author for the first time used the sacred book of Zoroastrianism 'Avesta', Kyrgyz epic 'Manas ', their parallels and similar features, archeological finds from the Bronze Age settlement near Osh, petroglyphs of Sulaiman-Too and Saimaly-Tash.
