Stefania Shabatura is an outstanding artist, a bright representative of the sixties cohort, a dissident, a long-term political prisoner of the Soviet concentration camps, a human rights activist, a member of the UHG, an active public figure, a member of the Lviv City Council of the first democratic convocation (1990-1994 . She died on December 17, 2014 in Lviv, and was buried in Lychakiv Cemetery.
