The book is devoted to the history of Old Believers of different denominations who lived in the 18th-20th centuries in the mining Urals, in the so-called “small” centers. Each of the 10 chapters tells about the Old Believers of a specific settlement and its surroundings, notes the main stages of community development, traces the causes and results of the transformations that took place, associated with both internal processes and state policy.
