The book is devoted to one of the most mysterious world literary masterpieces of the XIIth century - "The Saga of Ihor's Folk". The Saga (Slovo o polku Ihorevim) is closely connected with the period of consolidation of Ukraine-Rus' in the post-imperial epoch. This research is based on the semantic reconstruction of "The Saga" in the context of its epoch. The author considers the historical base of "The Saga", the history of its discovery and also spelling and paleographic peculiarities of the manuscript. The book contains the author's translation of "The Saga" into English.
