The collective monograph brings a new look at romanticism in Slovak literature. It reflects it in the context of Slovak and Czech literature in broader historical correlations as a dynamic pluralistic period node in a variety of different configurations and in several parallel strata between two distinct poles of patriotic and messianic romanticism. The monograph is divided into theoretical Prolegomena and Argumentum, containing selected case studies and a special chapter devoted to artistic expressions of Romanticism, accompanied by a representative pictorial supplement.
