The IV International Scientific Forum “Skorin Readings 2019: Current Trends in the Development of Publishing” was held at the Belarusian State Technological University. The forum is dedicated to the Year of the Small Homeland and the 20th anniversary of the Department of Editorial and Publishing Technologies of BSTU. Scientists and specialists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and China took part in it.
In his welcoming remarks, the Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Karlyukevich noted that the Skorin Readings scientific forum has become an important platform for sharing experience in publishing, finding ways to further develop book publishing in the context of intensification and globalization of intercultural communications of the 21st century, and contributes to the deepening of cooperation in the field of book publishing and book distribution.
The forum participants worked fruitfully in the sections: “Contemporary book: thematic range, style features”, “Development of media systems in the context of modern intercultural communications”, “Editions of various types and types: trends in the development of the repertoire, features of editorial training”, “Print technologies, print media systems and complexes as the production base of book publishing ”,“ Innovative teaching methods in the publishing and printing industry, the relationship of the educational process with production ”.
