The new book by the young Kazakh writer Timur Yermashev is a historical detective novel that takes place in two time periods. The first part describes the events of our days. Kenes from Almaty finds a Japanese army sword, in the hilt of which there is an encrypted map indicating the location of General Annenkov's gold. Because of this discovery, a young man is drawn into an unusual investigation that ends with a noisy ending. The second part takes place in 1945. The lieutenant of the Imperial Japanese Army Tanuki Motsumoto, after the defeat in Manchuria, ends up as a prisoner of war in Alma-Ata. There he discovers the sword of his dead father, Colonel Motsumoto. The tanuki does not suggest that these weapons are now valuable not only to him, but also to more powerful people. The book is intended for a wide range of readers. On the cover and in the book illustrations are used - Kamerim.
