In 2002 the “Russian Emigration” informational and cultural center started publishing a new series of biography titled “Famous Emigrants from Russia”. The present edition is dedicated to Sergei Dyagilev, who was one of the founders of the artistic union. For more than 30 years his name had been associated with many outstanding events in Russian and world culture of the end of the XIXth – beginning of the XXth centuries. The first decades of the XXth century are often called “the age of Dyagilev”. The present edition is one of the first attempts to create a full collection of the Russian literature dedicated to Dyagilev. The collected material includes about 3000 records for the period from 1890 till 2005.
