More than a century ago, the famous scientist Jovan Cvijic with his collaborators and students started a centuries-old endeavor of Serbian science: the anthropogeographic examination of Serbian lands, in which the settlements, origin of the population and customs were investigated. The studies created as part of this project were published in the Serbian Ethnographic Collection of the Serbian Royal Academy and today are a real bibliophile rarity owned by a small number of institutions, libraries and individuals.
