In the monograph, a new approach to studying the phenomenon of self-understanding is proposed and developed - the approach to the development of personal and social balance. As a result of the process of self - understanding of personal and social identity, finding a balance/imbalance, between them, the formation or further development of "I-Identity"/"I-None-identity" occurs. The theoretical and phenomenological model of self-understanding is substantiated, which includes structural components of self-understanding of personal and social identity, which allow to reveal the peculiarities and differences of self-understanding of personal and social identity and ethnoculture: the conditions of the young sovereign state of the Kyrgyz Republic (the titular ethnos and other large ethnic groups living in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic).
