This volume continues the previous two ones devoted to the reforming Synodal school of religious singing. The book aims at presenting the main trends of church and singers’ life, and their ideological comprehension in Russia in the second half of the XIXth – early XXth century concentrating on Moscow as the center of a traditional culture, as well as on the phenomena of collective work. The final part of the book is compiled from the materials of the Manorial Council of 1917-1918, which considered the issues of the church art.
