The monograph is devoted to the study of the Russian religious culture of early modern Vilna - a kind of "Russian Babylon". In the work, based on a rich source base, modern tools and interdisciplinary approach, special attention is paid to the history of n centers of religious revival: Orthodox monasteries and the Holy Trinity Brotherhood (XVI century); the Union Monastery of the Holy Trinity and the Orthodox Monastery and Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit (first third of the 17th century). The study focuses on the analysis of Russian book publishing as a mirror of Russian religious culture. An important narrative source is published: the polemical work of Hypatius Potius about the Brest Cathedral (1597), subjected to hermeneutic analysis. Another monument analyzed is the funeral sermon of Lev Krevza on the funeral of Josafat Kuntsevich (1625). There is a high level of development of n religious culture. For specialists in early modern history and religious culture of Eastern Europe, as well as anyone interested in the history of Kievan Rus' Christianity.
