They were taken from archival materials (Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of The Saratov University Science Library), old Russian magazins (Russkii arkhiv/Russian Archives; Russkaia starina/Russian Antiquity; Istoricheskii vestnik/Historical Bulletin), old anecdotes collections, as well as from memoirs and works of Russian writers, mostly of the XIX century.
