The book consists of two sections:
- the first section the biographies of medical workers: deputies of the State Duma (1906-1917), members of the Central Committee of the RCP(b)/AUCP(b)/CPSU, People's Doctors of the USSR buried on Red Square in Moscow, names of doctors on the world map;
- the second section the biographies of military medical workers: heads of military medicine of the USSR Armed Forces, heads of the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy, Heroes of Socialist Labor the participants in the Great Patriotic War, holders of military orders, colonel generals of the medical service.
