The book “Runaway and funny” is about the rebels who took part in the failed coup attempt in Belarus in 2020. In the preface to the first section of this publication (“Education program – elimination of illiteracy!”), Andrei Mukovozchik admits: “Each chapter of this section was difficult: “Well, why write about it? – an inner voice cracked. “Everyone knows about this!” And yet. Marxism teaches us that practice alone is the criterion of truth. So: at every lecture, at every meeting with activists, during every conversation with work collectives, I mentioned some obvious fact - and it turned out to be obvious only to a couple of people from the audience. Best case scenario. It turns out that it is important to overcome the “intellectual embarrassment” of voicing seemingly obvious facts and not be shy about educating the audience. For this is (again) necessary.”
