The book represents the result of sixteen years' research conducted by a Belarusian historian on the issue of flotillas on the Belarusian rivers in the XXth century. A special attention is given to the role of the Dnepr flotilla on Ukrainian and Belarusian rivers during the Civil War and the Pinsk flotilla in the autumn of 1941. The edition also includes a deep analysis of literature on this topic published in 2009 and 2010.
