The word "righteous" received another meaning after World War II. Those people who risked their lives and the lives of their dear ones to rescue the Jews from death were called righteous men. The title "Righteous among the Nations" is awarded to such people by the Israel Memorial Institute of Holocaust and Heroism of the European Jewry Yad Vashem. Today there are 20000 people in the world who were awarded this honorable title. 500 of them live in Belarus. This book is the second edition about Righteous from Belarus. The book presents materials of the first International scientific conference of historians, complete list of the righteous from Minsk, Bobruisk and Osipovichi, people they rescued, dates of award and brief history of the rescue. The book also contains photos of the Righteous and people rescued by them.
