The book presents a study of the regularities of socio-economic development of the Russian Federal subjects - the Russian Far East and Trans-Baikal Region - as compared to the Russian Federation on the whole in 1990-2001. Comparative evaluation of social and economic potentials of the Russian Far-Eastern and Trans-Baikal regions is given.
