Pushkin through Torzhok and references to Torzhok of the poet himself and his friends in letters, diaries and works of art are published. In the second part, the author tells how the legend was born and spread that, having accidentally seen a sign at the bakery or at the trading bath of Eugene Onegin in Torzhok Pushkin found the name of the hero of his novel.
