The monograph on the example of the Udmurt Republic on a large amount of factual material analyzes current problems of demographic development: low birth rate, high mortality, negative migration balance and others in connection with social and economic factors of development. Based on the study of theoretical and methodological concepts and practical experience developed in the regions of Russia, proposals are being developed for implementing an effective socio-demographic and family policy in the region in the context of developing a regional demographic program.
