The album-catalogue presents a unique creative heritage in the field of Belarusian photography of the first half of the 20th century of priest Pavel Volyntsevich (1875-1962). The unknown name of the photographer was discovered by chance, and perhaps by God's providence, among Belarusian collectors. Further painstaking work of specialists: photographers, historians, archivists and, of course, relatives of Father Pavel Volyntsevich from Belarus, Russia and Poland helped to take a fundamental look at the work of an unusual photographer. As a result, the collection of negatives and photographs amounted to more than 300 images, which captured the life of Belarus for almost half a century: from 1910 to 1960 - this is the everyday life of the priest's family and his close circle; the author's meetings with famous historical figures and the history of the Belarusian Orthodox Church in difficult times; rare shots of the architecture and interiors of sacred monuments of Belarus; ethnographic sketches of the Belarusian hinterland.
