The offered title is the unique study, devoted to determination of characters at the portraits of the XVIII - middle XIX cc. The author restores the names of 75 "unknown" portraits. They are ancestry of A.Pushkin, descendants of Suvorov and so on. The works are kept in first-rate museums of Moscow and St.Petersburg, as well as in provincial museums and in the collections of private persons.
