The edition devoted to the history of Polotsk represents the results of archeological excavations carried out in Polotsk from 1928 to 2010. It restores social and topographic space of the most ancient town of Belarus on the basis of archeological, written, cartographic sources, provides a reader with a detailed narration about formation of city-forming structure and analyzes development of crafts and trade. The edition is supplemented with manifold of pictures, maps of Polotsk and tables describing property of residents of the town.
