The book entitled "Militia of the Grodno Region" was published for the 80th anniversary of the militia of the Grodno Region. Bright moments of the life of the militia of the Grodno region from the time of its formation to the present day formed the basis of the book. As Vadim Sinyavskyi, head of the Internal Affairs and Communications Department of the regional executive committee, emphasized, "the history of the militia of the Pryneman region contains many examples of the selfless performance of the duty of our employees." The book tells about the exploits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, about the policemen who selflessly fought against banditry, about the investigators who solved many crimes. Here is a detailed account of all subdivisions of the Department of Internal Affairs of the regional executive committee, regional police department. On the pages of the jubilee edition, the names of police officers entered in the Book of Honor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the Book of Honor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, honored workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, honored workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, awarded state awards. The names of people who died in the performance of official and military duty are immortalized in the book. The author's team included employees of the Department of Ideological Work and Personnel Support of the Internal Affairs Department of the Regional Executive Committee, the press service, the editorial office of the "Miliceyskyi Vestnik" newspaper, representatives of the veterans' organization, and Edmund Yarmusik, a teacher at Yanka Kupala State University of the Republic of Georgia. Photographs of Sergey Morozov and the famous Grodno regional historian Viktor Sayapin were used. The book will take a worthy place in the museum of the Department of Internal Affairs, veterans of internal affairs will receive it as a gift.
