The first volume of Polar Archive includes unique documents, describing life stories and activities of Arctic travelers and explorers of the early XIXth - the first half of the XXth centuries; new materials and archival documents on Pomors' ship-building, on the history of Novaya Zemlya explorations and development by Pomors and Nenets people, on expansion of the Russian Orthodox religion at the Extreme North of Russia.
