The central question of this book is whether the phenomenon of freedom retains its inherent invariants at the time of globalization which overspreads the entire world and all the realms of human activ¬ity, which erases borders and differences, which makes the world a communal entity. For centuries, the system of human values appeared to be the most stable entity. Moral values united countries and conti¬nents, and as such, they could be considered the first harbingers of the coming together of the entire world embodied by today's globaliza¬tion. Freedom has always been considered one of humanity's most essential assets. Yet freedom has also been the greatest of mysteries which beckoned and excited, but was never fully revealed, even though freedom has always been the subject of the most profound philosophical inquiry; the greatest thinkers of the past devoted their works to freedom. What is happening to the phenomenon of freedom nowadays? The authors conducted an academic study devoted to this problem.
