The armed uprising of 1932 was the biggest event in the history of Mongolia in the 20th century. Why this rebellion? Whose support did the rebels rely on and who provided them with what? Why was the rebellion suppressed?
To answer these questions, previously closed Russian archival materials were carefully studied, and results were obtained by reanalyzing previously published and unpublished Mongolian archival materials.
