The author is a former political officer, who has gone through the career path from a private to a colonel and from the position of a Komsomol organizer of a regiment to the head of the political department of the BVO and secretary of the district party commission. Participant of hostilities in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. Prior to being drafted into the army, he graduated from the Kupyansk Pedagogical School in Ukraine, while serving in the Armed Forces, the Murom Military School of Communications (as an external student) and in absentia “Law Faculty of the BSU im. V.I. Lenin. He constantly participated in public life: he was elected to the leading party and Komsomol bodies, including a member of the Central Committee of the LKSMB, a deputy of the Minsk City Council of Working People's Deputies. After the collapse of the USSR, he retained his convictions, actively participates in the work of the Communist Party of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Officers and the Military Scientific Society at the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, for many years he has been a member of the editorial board of the Communist Party of Belarus.
