Bauyrzhan Momyshuly is the founder of the military genre in Kazakh fiction. In the novel "Our Family", the genre of which is classified as a memoir, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly showed Kazakh ethnography in the conditions of the nomadic steppe. In his memoirs, the author uses many tales, legends, myths, interestingly and colorfully describes the original Kazakh traditions, rituals and beliefs. Interestingly, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly shares with us his childhood impressions and initial feelings. In 2018, B. Momyshuly's book "Our Family" was included in the republican campaign "One Country - One Book" for general reading.
