The author of the present monograph analyzes oratorical prose by Feofan Prokopovich in the context of historical-literary process during the epoch of Peter I (the first third of the XVIIIth century). The work determines the main topics in Feofan Prokopovich's writings. Stylistic and genre pecularities of oratorical writing of that period are also examined.
