The author [book] worked in Slovak and German music culture in the second half of the 20th century as a violinist, orchestral player and as an important violin teacher and organizer of musical life. The book brings two dozen of his reflections on the pedagogy of the violin playing and is supplemented by interviews with violinists of two generations - Juraj Tomka and the author. The author's reflections are based not only on the foundations of the Central European string school, but especially on his pedagogical practice, lasting half a century.
