The book-album presents photographs of Old Believers' written and cast icons from non-state (temple and private) collections of Tarbagatas, Khorinsky regions of Buryatia and Ulan-Ude. Separate sections are devoted to the images of the Lord and the Mother of God; holidays and saints, crucifixes, folds and icon cases. A description of the plot, dating, material, manufacturing technique, and a short iconographic commentary are given. The study of the icons included in the publication took about two years.
