The book presents challenging memoirs by the student of A.B.Goldenweiser, well-known pianist Naum Brodsky, who emigrated from the Soviet Union at the end of the 1970-s. He discloses the underpinnings of the cultural and musical heyday, peculiar to Moscow in the mid-XXth century, according to the official version. However, the real price for the flourishing cultural scenery was too high for its contributors.
