Adyl-Giray Kucukovich Keshev (1837-1872) was a writer, journalist, and public figure of the 19th century, who published his literary works under the pseudonym Kalambiy.
According to the researcher O.V. Ktirova, the writer overcame ethnic restrictions: being an Abaza by origin, he wrote, worked and lived for the benefit of all residents of the North Caucasus and, without a doubt, Russia. He created a "bridge" of mutual understanding and cooperation between Abaza, Adygs, Russians and other residents of the multinational Russian Empire.
