A new book by the Kyiv literary critic, head of the Shevchenko Studies Department of Teras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Boron' thematically, methodologically, and even structurally continues the collection of his Shevchenko observations "Below those commas", published by the publishing house "Krytyka" in the summer of 2022. The author collected under one cover his publications in scientific periodicals of 2021–2023, re-examining them and correcting them especially for this publication. The researcher examines controversial episodes of Taras Shevchenko's biography, refuting some dubious and dilettantish hypotheses, comments on the textological and source studies issues of his work, focuses on echoes and typological coincidences of his novels with several works of European writers.
