The anthology “Nikolai Fedorov: Pro et Contra” offers the reader a number of grouped philosophic, scientific, memorandum and epistolary texts devoted to the personality and teaching of a great Russian philosopher Nikolai Fedorov (1829-1903). Fedorov’s ideas upon Russian philosophy and culture are presented in chronological and logical ways. Volume 1 of the anthology comprises information on Fedorov provided by his contemporaries, first researches and interpretations of his works, articles of Russian religious philosophers and theologians dedicated to “Phylosophy of United Idea”. The last unit of the volume traces relationships between the philosopher and his great contemporaries among whom there were L.Tolstoy, V.Solovyov, F.Dostoyevsky and contains Fedorov’s critical notes of the philosophy of Nietzsche.
