Unique heritage of an outstanding politician, the first Head of Finance Department in the Soviet Union Grigorii Iakovlevich Sokol’nikov, is presented in the offered title for the first time. He was the one who developed and introduced NEP (New Economic Policy). He was in charge of the famous currency reform in the USSR in 1922-1924 with the help of which the country overcame the depression. In 1936 Sokol’nikov was arrested and accused of spreading of capitalistic methods through New Economic Policy and expressing protest against collectivization. Soon he died in prison. For more then half a year his literary heritage was kept in secret.
