This book is about a small piece of Russian land with a great history the village of Krutitsy, which disappeared from the map of Russia in the last century. In its place, a city has grown with high-rise buildings, modern roads, shopping centers, restaurants, and a metro station. The author traces the fate of entire families in the context of events that took place in the country and the world. Much attention is paid to the years of the Great Patriotic War. A lot of archival documents are published about the exploits of the Krutitsy warriors, their awards, which, unfortunately, did not find all of their heroes.
