In Wylie's transliteration, the first part of the monograph contains the Tibetan text of Arya Nagarjuna's most important philosophical work, which is briefly called "Wisdom" (Shes-rab) in the
Tibetan tradition, and its Russian translation. The main part presents the study of the phenomenon of Nagarjuna, the ontology of the Madhyamaka and its interpretations in different historical contexts: Indian philosophy, Chinese Buddhism, the Indo-Tibetan tradition of the Prasangikas (Chandrakirti, Tsong Khapa) and their opponents (Madhyamaka Shentong of Dolpopa, Shakya Chogden). In the final part, an analysis of the main trends in the interpretation of the Madhyamaka within the framework of modern philosophical
discourse is given.
