The monograph is devoted to reconstruction and analysis of elements and structure of the sarmathian ideology which was the basis for national identity formation of peoples inhabiting the Rech Pospolitaya. The research is focused on the national identity of Polish gentry and Ukranian Orthodox nobility at the end of the XVIth and the first half of the XVIIth centuries. The author concentrates on three main categories of the sarmathian ideology - the time, the person, the Motherland.
