Jan Vadovic was born in 1935 in Bratislava. In 1970 he emigrated with his family to Canada, where he still lives. In the book he describes his life in Slovakia and depicts many historical events and his opinion on the development of the society at the time. The author loved his hometown very much and its uniqueness, which eventually became lost forever. The work is supplemented by authentic colorized photographs from the author's archive.
