This is a collection of papers from a scientific conference hosted by New Bulgarian University in Sofia in May 2017. The conference heard a report on the moods of Bulgarian Muslims in 2016, based on a study carried out by the Alpha Research polling agency and New Bulgarian University with the financial support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The book explores the dynamics of Muslim moods in Bulgaria between 2011 and 2016, a period which, on a global scale, saw many events involving Muslims. The situation in Bulgaria can be described as a model for peaceful co-existence of Muslims and Christians, at least as reflected in the moods of the Muslim population.
