"Mrs. L'olia: Escape from the Bolsheviks" is a group portrait of Yaroslav Srednytsky's family against the background of the day. Private history, inscribed in the context of the tragic events of the twentieth century, acquires a special sound due to the combination of the documentary account of the moving intonation of the story about the difficulty of preserving national identity, and just human dignity, the existence of the need to choose the lesser of the two disasters - between the Bolshevik, Polish and Bolshevik and later the Soviet and Nazi regimes.
