The newly edited edition has undergone many improvements: the Russian transcription is located parallel to the Hebrew text; the entire set, both in Russian and in Hebrew, is made in a clear and clear font; the Russian translation has been revised to make it easier to read. The pages of the Megillah text in Hebrew and the page-by-page transcriptions go from right to left. For the convenience of readers in Russian, the translation on each spread is printed from left to right as indicated by the arrow. When transcribing the Hebrew text, we followed the Sephardic pronunciation now adopted in Israel in modern colloquial Hebrew. The text and translation of the Megillah were supplemented with a chapter from the book "Jewish Holidays", which is ready for publication. It contains a story about the historical event in honor of which we celebrate Purim, about the meaning, history, laws and customs of the holiday, as well as about practical lessons and conclusions that we can draw from its history in our time, more than 2000 years later, based on teachings of the Lubavitch Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
