The collection publishes materials about the life and work of the zemstvo doctor Pavel Mikhailovich Vinogradov for the first time. In the late 19th – early 20th centuries, he worked in the Ukholovskaya hospital of the Ryazhsky district of the Ryazan province. The reader is presented with his own notes, entitled "A Doctor's story about his service in the Ryazhsk zemstvo", as well as the recollections of his relatives and contemporaries about him. The book is illustrated with unique photographs from more than a hundred years ago, which were carefully preserved in the Vinogradov family archive and have never been published.
