2014 Mark Konstantinovich Bandman, Ph.D., Professor, would have turned 90 years old. Not counting school years and wartime, his whole life was devoted to economic and geographical science and Siberia. Initially, this book was conceived simply as "Selected Works of M.K. Bandman". But it turned out that it was in a classical form to publish it does not work. Mark Konstantinovich headed and directed the research team created by him for 35 years. Most publications (articles and books) are shared. In addition, and perhaps more important, we found it necessary to reflect further research his colleagues and students, based on the ideas of M.K. Bandman. Bound by filling old theoretical constructs new realities is considered one of the main test conditions previously accepted theories «strength». It seems that it is fully applicable to the ideas of M.K. Bandman, development and implementation of which he devoted his entire life. Encyclopedic knowledge, confidence in their research and discoveries, love for Siberia combined with exceptional simplicity and sincerity in communication, as well as extremely attentive and caring attitude toward his students determined the large circle of those who remembers and pays tribute to his memory.
