The book-album is a colorfully designed edition about the preserved monuments of country (manor) architecture of the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory. The authors examined the estates on the ground, recorded and described their current state, and identified the names of their owners. This volume of the series is dedicated to the monuments of the suburban architecture of the resort city of Sochi, which embodied the most characteristic features of the neo-Moorish style of one of the neostyles of the late XIX- early XX century. These are two Moorish villas located on the territory of the modern sanatorium "Zapolyarye" and named after M.V. Frunze. One of them belonged to the Irkutsk merchant, gold miner and doctor of Medicine F. K. Trapeznikov, the other to General A.P. Veretennikov, and then to the famous opera singer N. A. Shevelev. Each of them has its own history of creation and its own fate after the October Revolution of 1917. The articles contain archival and bibliographic references, pre-revolutionary postcards, portrait and species photographs.
