The book is dedicated to Manichaeism, one of the major Iranian Gnostic religions, originating in the IIIrd century BC. It describes the life of Mani, history of the Manichaean church, Manichaean myths and doctrine. The publication includes Manichaean, anti- Manichaean and apocryphal texts, most of which are published in Russian for the first time.
