Les Beley (born 1987, Uzhhorod) is a Ukrainian linguist, writer, translator. Laureate of the "Debut" (2008) and "Torch" (2011) literary awards, the award named after Olesya Ulyanenko (2019). Son of linguist Lubomir Beley. Member of NLO (informal literary association) and the Assembly of Artists "Rotonda". Les Beley recorded these stories about attempts to escape from reality from real interlocutors. The first cigarette after a long break, the recognition of one's alcoholism, experiments with various substances, psychedelic experiences - such experiences remain unspoken. People with substance addictions are often stereotyped, but their stories can seem quite understandable if they are heard correctly. The book ends with the reverse side of the coin - a story about treatment that gives hope: a person can always be helped to cope with addiction.
